  1. Cameron has been accused of sending mixed signals about immigration, in light of the Eastleigh by-election and his visit to India. Immigration is an issue that divides the public and its politicians, trying to please everyone is not straightforward nor possible. The Observer argues the government’s approach is not economically viable.
  2. After complaining of chest pains, an elderly man has died at an immigration detention centre.
  3. Technology entrepreneur says we should be encourage highly skilled migrants to come to the UK.
  4. The European Court of Human rights would overrule any new or changed legislation to prevent abuses of current laws.
  5. Cameron has encouraged Indian students to attend UK universities and search for work here afterwards, however his sentiment, however positive won’t alter the coalition’s policy on graduate employment and migrants.
